Once you leave
I try not to terribly miss all the places I have previously lived in, but I can’t help to be super jealous that Winston-Salem now has a Steak & Shake, by far my favorite franchise eatery. S&S has been part of my college experience for all four years. I would make a stop in Concord, N.C., to the S&S on my way back from campus after a visit home. On the flipside, I would go to the one in Greensboro on the way to visit my grandmother.
My favorite S&S memory is taken my friends to the Concord location after a Tori Amos concert in Charlotte. We were there pretty late and we got these paper hats while we were there.
But now, there’s one in W-S. I know that I would have gained the Freshman 50, not the Freshman 15.
Please come to my side of PA, Steak & Shake.

I loooove Steak&Shake, but there isn’t one very near me, and it (I think there is only one) is in a kinda bad neighborhood, so I never really go :( takhomasak!!

Nothing says college/high school like Steak & Shake. Their fries are good stuff.
