Culinary skills

As I continue to mull over what to do with this domain and the next, I have made to headway in the kitchen. In addition to making cookies and pizza for days, I have just purchased my first blender. Mind you I have grown up with one, so this is not my first time using one. I just never got around to buying because when I was small, all I used it for was to make eggnog each Christmas. Plus, I don’t drink alcohol more than three times a year, so mixed drinks aren’t my thing.

Yet in the last few months, I’ve had a kick for smoothies of all flavors, and I have seen about 5 percent of my monthly pay going to poorly blended restaurant-style creations. I calculated the cost of owning my own blender and purchasing the ingredients from Wal-Mart. I figured out that I could make three smoothies for the price of one fast-food version.

I traveled to Target and bought this blender. There was a sale involved with this model, and I purchased frozen fruit, bananas and bananas from Wal-Mart. Some 12 smoothies later, and I have made enough to equal the price of the blender in comparison to having bought the smoothies individually. I am so glad I came up with this.
