It's about time I did something
I haven’t been here in a while, and it’s not that I’m avoiding to blog stuff these days. In fat, I have had tons of stuff change around me, but my lack of sleep takes charge of my activities. Plus, I really hate the current design of this site, but I can’t think of a worthy substitute just yet.
Anyway, here’s a quick 300-second update:
- I am still on my diet, I mean, lifestyle change. So far, I have lost 15 pounds and I am five pounds away from my first goal. Despite the healthier foods and increased exercise levels I have had these last four months, I have yet to experience the glowing, happy feelings associated with this. I probably feel more miserable now than I did before. It’s either that or I am just missing something. Nevertheless, this doesn’t discourage me from continuing.
- Speaking of the change, I have developed a reward system for every goal I have achieved. When I lost 15 pounds, I redecorated my room and finally had the chance to use my new printer. So fair, I have a collage of photos in Target-brand frames and a second steel message board to hold motivational slogans made out of Magnetic Poetry. When I get to 20 pounds, I get to see all the Best Picture nods for the Oscars in some form. If that means I have to travel to New York to see “Slumdog Millionaire,” then I get to do that. There’s a bigger point system once I pass the first goal.
- I had some work stuff that consumed three months of my life. I’m surprised I have hair on my head.
