In the Corner District in Charlottesville, Va. near the University of Virginia campus, there are small parts preserved from the past, including this sign on the bricks of this building.

Sliders

At Jabberwocky in Charlottesville, Va., the specialty is the slider. On this plate there are three and a side of seasoned fries. Think of the slider as a homemade version of White Castle hamburgers with a pickle or Krystal hamburgers without the mustard.

UVA

What I did like most about the Corner District in Charlottesville, Va., is the sense of school pride for the University of Virginia. It is a lovely campus, but the lack of diversity really got to me. Then again, Wake Forest wasn't any different as far as the school was concerned.

Good Fortune

Located in the Corner District of Charlottesville, Va., those who want fried dumplings will have Good Fortune by going here. However, I don't and I went by there on a Sunday. Bad Fortune for me.

Mexican Grill

While visiting Charlottesville, Va., I noticed that there are two things that were lacking in the community, national franchises and racial diversity. I found both in this photo. Then again, I was only there for three hours.

The White Spot

I didn't stop by this place, but of all the eateries in the Corner District in Charlottesville, Va., this place, The White Spot, seemed to be the least pretentious.

Cafe 1201

A charming statue for Cafe 1201 in Charlottesville, Va., outside of the Marriott Courtyard Inn.
